SAVANNAH, Ga. — Students at Building Bridges Academy Middle School enjoyed a special ice cream celebration on Thursday, August 27, in recognition of their positive behavior and accomplishments through the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.

The PBIS celebration rewarded students for demonstrating the positive behaviors and expectations encouraged throughout the school.

Making the celebration even sweeter, the ice cream was generously donated by Leopold’s Ice Cream of Savannah, a beloved local business with a long history of supporting the Savannah community.

PBIS is a schoolwide approach designed to create a positive school climate by teaching, recognizing, and reinforcing appropriate student behavior. Celebrations like the ice cream party give students an opportunity to see that their positive choices and contributions to the school community are noticed and appreciated.

Building Bridges Academy Middle School extends its sincere appreciation to Leopold’s Ice Cream for its generous donation and for helping make this celebration possible for our students.

Home Depot, St. Philip Church and BBAM are teaming up to bring hands-on learning and creativity to children through a special workshop-kit initiative.

The partnership will provide kids with workshop kits designed to encourage them to build, create, and learn through hands-on activities. The effort brings together community, faith, and business partners with a shared goal of giving young people opportunities to explore their creativity and develop practical skills.
