Student and staff safety is at the heart of everything we do at Building Bridges Academy Middle School (BBAMS). Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) uses a nationally recognized, layered security model informed by the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS). This approach combines trained personnel, technology, physical security, and thoughtful campus design to create a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment.

Controlled Entry & Screening
BBAMS uses a controlled, single-point entry system with designated screening areas. Staff, students, and visitors follow established access and screening procedures. Personal belongings may be subject to inspection in accordance with school and district procedures.

Prohibited items—including weapons, vaping products, gang-related paraphernalia, and other unauthorized or potentially dangerous items—may be confiscated and handled according to district policy. Students are also expected to follow school policies regarding electronic devices.
